Q:  HOW DO YOU SCREEN YOUR CAREGIVERS?

A:  We take this very seriously. We don’t hire anyone whom we wouldn’t feel comfortable taking care of someone in our own family.  Every caregiver goes through a rigorous interview process which includes the following:  criminal & driving background check, drug screening, proof of auto insurance, proof of citizenship, employment reference checks, personal ethics, special training and certification verifications.  In addition, all of our caregivers are bonded, insured and covered by workers compensation, helping to ensure our clients peace of mind.

Q:  DO YOUR CAREGIVERS HAVE ANY SPECIALIZED TRAINING?

A:  All caregivers are certified in First Aid & CPR.  Valley of the Sun Homecare also has a continuous education program which keeps caregivers current and up-to-date on professional best practices within the  industry. Additionally, we predominantly hire caregivers who are already certified and/or certified nursing assistants (CNA).

Q: ARE YOUR PERSONAL CARE SERVICES AVAILABLE IN RETIREMENT COMMUNITIES, ASSISTED LIVING FACILITIES, NURSING HOMES,  HOSPITALS OR REHABILITATION CENTERS?

A: Yes.  Our services can be provided anywhere a client needs them.

Q:  DO YOU ACCEPT LONG TERM CARE INSURANCE?

Yes. We are network providers with most major Long Term Care Insurance providers including Genworth, Prudential, John Hancock, Mutual of Omaha, MetLife, and many many more.

Q:  DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS FOR VETERAN’S?

A:  We are honored to help those who have served our country.  Through the Veterans Administration, veterans and the surviving spouses of veterans may qualify for benefits which can help significantly defray the costs of in-home care.  If you are a veteran or a surviving spouse of a veteran, we will be happy to help you through the application process.

Q:  DOES VALLEY OF THE SUN HOMECARE HAVE STAFF ON CALL FOR EMERGENCIES?

Q:  ARE SERVICES AVAILABLE 24 HOURS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK?

A:  Yes.  Services are available for as little as a 4 hour visit up to around the clock care.

Q: HOW QUICKLY CAN PERSONAL HOME CARE SERVICES BE PROVIDED?

A: We are able to start service within 24 hours of being contacted but have also been known to be there within a couple hours when needed.
